The year 2016 had plenty of highs and lows for supermodel Kendall Jenner.

Aside from crushing the fashion game and building her brand, there was also her sister Kim's robbery in Paris.

But Kendall is one of the more private of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters, however she recently shared intimate details about her own personal battles. In a list of her 2016 "peaks and pits", Kendall said on her app she has recently struggled with anxiety.

"Anxiety was a huge hurdle for me to deal with this past year (and security concerns didn't help), but I think I'm finally learning how to cope," Kendall wrote.

This isn't the first time Kendall has opened up about having anxiety.

In an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kendall talked about her sleep paralysis, a condition that leaves you unable to move or speak when you wake up in the middle of the night.

“I once had a really bad [panic] attack on a plane and just had to ride it out. I felt my heart beating a million miles an hour and I even went a little numb,” she wrote in another post.

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million Americans ages 18 and older — a whopping 18 percent of the population.

When it comes to her panic attack, Kendall has "learned that it's all mental, so I try to prevent anxiety attacks by bringing my mind somewhere else." She said breathing exercises are something she does regularly to calm herself down when she's traveling.

Kendall is also trying to add a little relaxation to her interior design. Earlier this week, Kendall explained that she painted a wall in her house a specific shade of pink because it's scientifically proven to be calming, Refinery 29 reports.
